Andhra Pradesh NEET Examination
Around 59,000 candidates appeared for the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) in Andhra Pradesh held for admissions into MBBS and BDS courses. The exam was conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) from 2 pm to 5 pm across 10 centers in Andhra Pradesh. As per the university officials, the organizers had taken all necessary precautions in the light of the COVID situation in the state.
Sanitization of the rooms was done beforehand and basic facilities were provided to the candidates. The students were required to reach the exam hall 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the exam and no electronic gadgets or jewellery were allowed. The students were also required to carry a passport size photograph of themselves along with their admit card. Wearing a mask was compulsory at all times and a sanitizer was allowed in the exam hall. The test was held at Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Kurnool, Guntoor, Nellore, Tenali, Tirupati, Narasaraopet, Machilipatnam and Mangalagiri.
Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijaywada is the authority which is responsible for publishing the state merit list for Andhra Pradesh and also for conducting counselling for NEET state quota seats for the state. The provisional merit list for candidates who appeared for NEET in 2021 is now available for students and it is published only through online mode.

Dr NTR University of Health Science (NTRUHS) has also released the cut-off marks as well as a list of candidates whose scores are equal to or above the required cut-off marks for their respective category.
Additional information about 2021 AP NEET Merit List:
- The candidates whose names were not displayed in the data list were informed that the list was based on the entries made by the candidate while uploading their applications to the NTA and as was received from the Director of Health Services, New Delhi.
- The candidates who wish to register can do as and when any notification is issued by Dr. NTRUHS and after referring to the eligibility criteria for the exam.
- For the admission of candidates under Competent Authority Quota in Andhra Pradesh as non-local/local candidates will be decided on the basis of their studies from 6th standard to Intermediate along with submission on other certificates as mentioned in the prospectus.

Counselling for NEET AP MBBS BDS 2021:
The NTRUHS and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), the authorities who are responsible for conducting all India quota counselling for NEET 2021 are not yet started with the registrations.
It was also clarified by the authorities that the merit list only conveys that these particular candidates are shortlisted and eligible for the next round of the admission process, and does not indicate that the shortlisted candidates can claim for admission directly. The final admission for NEET 2021 for Andhra Pradesh will be done if the overall counselling activities for the candidate are found to be satisfactory.
